NEEDS MOAR PETRELLIS.

MOHINDER PRETTY.

OK, so we're in the middle of our renovations, still, and I now no longer have a TV of my own since it lives in the den and the den is next on the list and so therefore I have no TV. I recorded the show on my parents' DVD player, and tried to watch it, but their sound is... weird, and it was noisy and I was eating, so I really didn't get much out of the show. I have a few thoughts but a lot that happened I didn't quite catch the dialogue, so I am saving my usual squee for laters after I have downloaded the episode and watched it properly.

MOAR PETRELLIS, PLS?

Things!

1) I'm still all a-squee and a-flail and a-OMG about last night's Heroes.

2) Beanie! The Scottish Play! Beanie! PLEASE LET THIS BE REAL. IS IT REAL? SOMEONE TELL ME THIS ISN'T A DIRTY LIE LIKE THE BEAN-AS-SYLAR THING WAS.

Zachary Quinto, I love you, and I love your preposterously evil eyebrows, but I may still be slightly bitter that you aren't Sean Bean.

3) And we're doing renovations. I don't think I mentioned this. All the carpet upstairs is being taken up and hardwood laminate interlocking tile... things put in their place. And so some things have come about. cut for long, real-life blather about pondering a non-life-altering decision )

Why was everyone calling this episode "String Theory"? That was the name of the last online comic. *scratches head*

I was practically having fits through this episode. I don't even know how to properly organise my thoughts and such about it.

HOLY CRAP. )

And an ETA re: Peter's dreams )

It's PETRELLIDAY! Happy Petrelliday, everyone!

*gigglesnort*

I have nothing of any importance to report, except for the fact that [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer and I made plans for today, as I have not seen her since my birthday and even then she had so much going on with school that I only got her for about two hours. And then work calls me. And despite the feelings of guilt, I said no. Because no. I have plans, and I'm sorry, but no.

So now I just have to wait for [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer to call me and let me know she's up and about and ready to do. *waits*

There is nothing else to report. Except it's almost MAY. How did that happen?

Something I forgot. About Sylar and Mohinder. )

And for reference, the Petrelli scenes are here and here.
ashinae: (Default)
HOLY CRAP PEOPLE. I decree that henceforth, Monday shall indeed be renamed PETRELLIDAY.

spoilers and squee and HOLY CRAP, PETRELLIS! )

Maybe I should just call this That Petrelli Show Where Sometimes Hiro and Mohinder Show Up. Who's with me?
ashinae: (Default)
FORTY-FOUR MINUTES TILL PETRELLI DAY.

That's all.

1) TWO MORE SLEEPS TILL HEROES IS BACK. YAY!!!!

2) I have three, count 'em, THREE plot bunnies for SGA fic (one of them being AU). Help??? If, in said AU, these people are actors, and there's a performance of Othello because, hello, Rodney-as-Iago? WIN. But, anyway, if in this AU Ronon's playing Othello, is this fandom going to rip off my head and use it as a chamberpot?

2a) In rewatching "Rising", I can so see how they wanted Ben Browder for the role of Sheppard. I wonder what kind of chemistry he'd have had with everybody. Of course, I think Browder could have chemistry with plants...

3) I dun wanna work today. But on the other hand, oh Lord, I need to escape this house. Mum and Dad made the sudden decision to rip up the carpets upstairs and lay down all new flooring (hardwood laminate tile... things...) and boy is my dad ever a grumpy gus. But I don't want to go to work.

Just my day in a nutshell; some whining and such. )

So in less whiny news:

1. That vid has been removed. Wow. [livejournal.com profile] fiercy and [livejournal.com profile] linden_jay are like great shining knights and they're my heroes, and they were patient and polite but stubborn and, wow.

2. I think I'm writing Beckett/Lorne. All I can say is, blame [livejournal.com profile] linden_jay. It makes no sense, except to us, but there you go.

3.
The wee puppeh has no tail now. And a shaved bum. It's actually kind of funny. But sad. But funny.

4. I've re-watched Doctor Who 3x01 and 3x02, and, dammit, I like the episodes and I like Martha, and I won't apologise for it, and so there.

5. I want to be a dork and say "OMG THERE IS NO FIVE", but, I posted penguins for everybody, and the silly SGA fic that I'm still not sure about really, and Sean Bean is going to be here next week.

Or, well, his voice at least. *g* STAY TUNED. LotR radio production will follow that.

6. IS IT SPRING? Cuz it neither looks nor feels like spring. My hands are frozen like icicles.

7. I'm getting my allergies tested on Monday morning. Which means, after tonight? No antihistamines for the Ash, and I have to work tomorrow, and I suspect I shall be miserable. AND they want me to go in to work after the test and I'm just like "HA HA, well, I was only scheduled for 5 to close, but I'll just be there when I feel humanish again." It's been several years, but I remember feeling rather horrifically awful after I got my allergies tested the last time, and feeling rather horrifically awful for several hours, even after a shower and a massive dose of antihistamines.

8. I want Heroes back NOW, dammit. Oh, and the last several weeks' worth of online comics? I soooo called the identities of Austin and Dallas. What do I win??

A vaguely spoilery (only if you haven't seen the current ep, really) squeeful thought about something that would be so totally cool: )
ashinae: (Default)
Now I remember why I stayed away from message boards for SO LONG. I haven't seen much of this on LJ, but, oy vey.

I'm torn between laughing at everyone who is so angry about being "jerked around" and "omg I'm never gonna watch this show again if they keep going on hiatus wah wah" and repeatedly smacking my face into my desk in frustration. I think these people are new to television-watching or something.

Nevermind the fact that all the news I read said the current hiatus, after this week's episode, would only be for five weeks and not six. (links to articles for proof of that; last and longest one mentions hiatus about half-way or closer to the end.)

We are lucky with this show! So lucky that they give us eleven, then seven, then five episodes in a row. Heroes is only one of three current-run shows I watch. Allow me, if you will, to rehash the current (third-season) airing schedule for House:

Season premiered September 5, 2006 -- aired 4 consecutive episodes, then went off the air for 4 weeks (the World Series - fair enough). Fox aired 5 eps (Oct 31-Nov 28), and now this is when it gets fun. It was off for 1 week. They aired 1 ep; were off 3 weeks; aired 1 ep; off 2 weeks; aired 3 episodes (ooh! this was February sweeps) and finally off for 2 weeks. This leads us to present, today, March 6, 2007, when there'll be 1 new episode, then another 2-week gap, then there'll be 1 new episode, and then my usual sources (including TV.com) has no new dates for new episodes.

The show premiered three weeks before Heroes, and has managed to be two episodes behind! And it's got one fewer episode, with the standard 22-episode seasons. The beginning really wasn't that bad. Four on, four off, five on.

So does everyone want a new episode, no new episode for two weeks, new episode for three, no new episode, new episode, no new episode for three weeks, and on like that?

Or! How about Stargate SG-1, which aired ten consecutive weeks from July to September, and then will air the final ten episodes in North America starting in April? Hello, seven-month hiatus! Nevermind the fact that the show has only ever had 20-episode seasons.

Which TV-show Powers That Be(tm) has been jerking which fans around, exactly? Isn't it easier to maintain interest in a show when you're given a few months' worth of episodes at a time to watch, rather than just a few weeks? Wouldn't you rather watch seven episodes in a row, rather than just one or two before they pull it off the air for some reality TV show?

Buncha whiners. Try being a House fan. What does FOX actually have going for them, besides American Idol? 24 and House. I know 24 just airs all its episodes from January to May, no repeats or hiatuses -- I guess that's the other option. But NBC is being very, very kind to its fans with the Heroes airing schedule.

SO. Uh. April 16th. *looks at calendar* IT'S NOT HERE YET WTF. These are notes from having watched the show twice now, actually.

spoilerific! dirty thoughts, squeeing, speculation, dirty thoughts, plot bunnies, dirty thoughts, capslock, and dirty thoughts. )
ashinae: (Default)
Just a friendly reminder that episode 18 will air this week on Sunday night (March 4) instead of Monday. But the Global TV Heroes page also notes that in Alberta, it will still air on Monday night.

Global's just got things all over the place, obviously, so, my fellow Canadians -- make sure to check Global's website so that you don't miss the show! This is the last episode before another hiatus -- this time "only" five weeks. Don't wanna miss it!
ashinae: (Default)
So, yes, we Canadians got a special treat: Heroes a day early. Despite what my TV guide (StarWeek) says. Global aired it tonight; it is not airing it at all tomorrow. Instead it's 24 at 9:00 and The Black Donnellys at 10:00. So if you're a Canadian and you missed it tonight, you can't count on Global; you're going to have to count on NBC if you get it.

Buddha on a biscuit! I love this show. )

I need to spend some good quality time making myself tons of Heroes icons. I desperately need one of Claire.

Heroes!

I've got a very interesting link here. It's from a Heroes-related website, for "The Linderman Group". It's... well, it's a painting that's by Isaac, and it's not a spoiler for anything that has aired, but I guess one could consider it a spoiler for a possible future if the show stays on the air for years and years. Here it is.

ETA: my response to [livejournal.com profile] sol_se, which would be the second comment received to the post, contains a very short description of the picture, but not the picture itself. You're warned.
ashinae: (Default)
OK, so I watched tonight's episode with [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf, as I did with last week's, which I realise I never even posted about, so I didn't have my notebook for a play-by-play cuz even though I'm sure she knows I do that, it just feels silly to do it in front of someone else. So here's just my disjointed after-thoughts.

*flails and runs in circles* )

In other news, Heroes vid forthcoming.

Heroes...

No matter how one looks at the relationship, I think Peter gets totally and completely jealous, that he isn't the number one person in Nathan's life, 100% of the time. Little brat.

That said, I'm nearly finished a Peter-centric vid, based around the first 7 episodes and "Six Months Ago" -- it's a kind of lead-up to the 'Save the Cheerleader, Save the World' storyline.

Can I count on anybody on my lovely flist to beta when it's finished, which shall very likely be sometime before Sunday? *bats eyelashes*

(Yes! I'm vidding! Oh, Heroes.)

ETA: It's set to Sarah Slean's "Day One".
ashinae: (Default)
Ack! It's been a week. I owe comments again. That will happen, I promise. I had to close tonight; DVR'd Heroes, watched it after 10pm, obviously, so reaction is late. I'm all ready for bed after this -- provided of course I'm not too worked up over the show. Heh.

This is the reaction post. It has spoilers. )
ashinae: (Default)
And everyone heard the news from earlier this week that the show officially got picked up for a second season, right? YAY!

omg (le spoilers, duh) - beware naughty thoughts about Petrellis, squeeing, and lots of capslock. )
