Why was everyone calling this episode "String Theory"? That was the name of the last online comic. *scratches head*
I was practically having fits through this episode. I don't even know how to properly organise my thoughts and such about it.
· "Me? Kill Sylar?"
· Hiro is red. Sylar is black. I wonder what colours future!Hiro's used for everybody else. And everyone having a string, reminds me of the Fates on Xena. La.
· Oh heavens MATT. I'd read Grunberg talking about this episode, and how dark his character was, and how he changed, and and and. :(
· Off future!Hiro and Ando go to get Peter. Parkman and the Haitian are working for Homeland Security, against other people like them -- and it's work for Nathan.
· Peter's got a stripper girlfriend? Who just so happens to be Jessica? Oh bother. What's she doing, working her way through the Petrellis? And, ha, she recognises Hiro. And he mentions Bennet! Oh Mr B.
· Micah? :( So if Jessiki is with Peter, did DL die, too, or did he leave her?
· "Anything seems possible these days." Oh, Nathan. "Send in the professor." OHGOD. They are so fucking hot.
· He has Mohinder keeping his secret. And they need to be boinking. Sorry, episode? What? With Nathan putting his hands on him like that, how can I think of anything but the pretty? There's other stuff happening? Naahhh. It's the Sendhil and Adrian show!
· This show is giving us such a huge, wonderful blank canvas for AU possibilities. All the timelines Hiro could have altered, and of course, this in particular. Tim Kring, I owe you my firstborn. Now, if I could think past my pervy Nathan/Mohinder thoughts to get to the rest of the episode.
· Oh, poor Hiro. *snuggles him* And Parkman's just got a call about Mohinder. Who is in Isaac's loft, looking at the timeline.
· Hana! Hana and Bennet! Together, they fight crime! Or at least, keep special people safe. I've wanted to see Hana in action more -- she can't just be that one character who only ever really does anything in the online comics. She's too freaking cool.
· Ah! Hiro's brought DL, Candace, and Molly Walker to Bennet. I wondered if that little girl from 1x02 would be mentioned. Cuz she seemed so important at the beginning -- Sylar opened up her dad's brain in the freaking second episode, then came back to get her, because he obviously wanted her power.
· Ah, there you go, Mohinder. Kick yourself for not believing Peter, you twit. So -- saving Claire was important. Got that. It's fixed. Claire's alive. We just need to fix the events of November 9. Which is apparently when Sylar exploded, and not Peter. Iiiinteresting.
· Claire's using her accent again! And she's Sandra now, a waitress, and she's engaged. Hmm. Of course she lights up when she sees Nathan on TV. That's what he does to people. And I love that Mr B is still protecting Claire.
· The Linderman Act, eh? What's he got to do in all this? Cuz, hi, he's got powers too. Then again, so does the president. Vote Petrelli. He can fly!
· "The whole space/time continuum might implode because you were impatient." And then he wants to tell Ando something important, and gets tazered. Who wants to bet he was going to tell Ando that Ando died? And here comes Peter, to save the day! How badass is he. Stopping time like an old pro. Who else caught the LOOK that he shot at Parkman? BURN. Very "You traitor".
· re: Peter. Being awesome and kickass. If he's the only one "powerful enough" -- how can they keep him up like this, without turning him into... well, too much.
· Looks like Bennet had visitors. Hm, is Parkman's kid special? Named after his daddy, aww. AND Hana's dead. Jesus Christ, this show has got to stop killing off the female characters. And -- Mr B! I sneezed! I had a moment of HOLY SHIT WHAT GUNSHOT BZUH. Parkman, you tool.
· Okay. Claire wants to elope and is promising to tell the guy "everything"? Is he going to find out and then freak? No, Parkman's going to find her instead.
· Now Mohinder's interrogating Hiro. I want him to end up doing the right thing. I believe he's going to end up doing the right thing. On the other hand, I believe this show can do anything it damn well pleases. But on the other -- oh, I only have two hands.
· CALLED IT. Ando's dead in the current timeline. "That all went away the day you died." Peter thinks that Hiro wants to save Ando. Ohhh. :( I did indeed figure that's the change that happened to Hiro.
· Yep, Mohinder wants to change the past. But Nathan's just going to have things his way, because he's a big jerkface. GRR. I knew he had the potential to be a complete and utter dick, but I wanted to believe that he just had the potential and would do the right thing! "Mohinder, I need to know if I can trust you." And then he just goes and makes me forget because he makes Mohinder say "Yes, sir" and ohmyfuckinggod, you know Nathan gets off on that. THE MANWHORE.
· Family reunion. But something doesn't seem Right. "I'm the most special person in the world." -- and this is where the capslocking comes in. OH MY GOD NATHAN IS SYLAR. HOLY HELL OMGWTF AND YES MY OTP OF WRONG WRONGNESS JUST BECAME THAT MUCH BETTER AND OHSHIT.
· And here I was, thinking of ways to have Sylar use his powers to keep Mohinder and make him help him and oh my good LORD. The show just did that FOR ME. And and and the possibilities and he bunnies and! OH TIM KRING YOU OWN MY SOUL I LOVE YOU. They've been rounding up Heroes so Sylar can take abilities he wants. He has Candace -- did he get DL? What about Molly Walker? AAAAAAHHHHHH MY BRAIN.
· And -- of course he became Nathan because of the painting he painted after taking Isaac's ability.** (They should go back an save Isaac!)
· Ando ♥ "You became everything you wanted and I became dead."
· So Niki won the struggle. But not only is Jessica gone, so are DL and Micah. And... my caring is still really not there.
· So it WASN'T Sylar who exploded. It was Peter after all. And Nathan(/Sylar?) lied to protect him. And... ooh. Was it to keep Peter from going after him?
· President!Nathan's still hot even if he is Sylar. Of course, Sylar's hot too, especially now that he's got his hair back and it's all spiky and wild and he's been shagging Mohinder in the oval office and. Um. *cough* Where's Heidi? And the kids?
· "Shall we freeze time?" "Nah, I haven't had a good fight in years." I love the speech going on whilst the three Heroes go to save the lone Hiro. And, oh, Mohinder goes and stabs the Haitian instead. Thatta boy. You want to save the world too!
· "Mohinder." "Peter!?" Aww. PARKMAN YOU ARSE. YOU ARSE. YOU SHOT HIRO. YOU ARSE.
· And the president just flew away -- to stop Peter. Cuz, indeed, he has DL's power. He really does look hotter with all that hair. Um. Right, he's evil. Gotcha. Ooh, and they're fighting each other with Ted's power -- one bright, one hot. "You're going to pay for what you did to Nathan."
· OH HIRO. ALL YOU NEED IS ANDO.
· "To be continued..." AAAAAAAAAAAGH!
** I had a conversation with
savageseraph after the show. She posed the question: "Does Linderman know that it won't really be Nathan as president? That it will be Sylar? Because if he does, that adds a whole new level of evil onto him."
And, I answered that I suspect no. Because... well, I suspect no. I'm saying no. But again, I don't trust this show.
This is running on the assumption that Linderman doesn't know that Isaac is dead and it was Sylar who murdered him. He hasn't seen those paintings. He can't possibly know for sure that Sylar will get Isaac, unless he's got advance copies of Ninth Wonders. Sylar paints that painting and knows that Nathan Petrelli is going to be the president. So he puts himself in the right place at the right time. I think Linderman well and truly believes that this is Nathan Petrelli he's putting in place to be president; not that he's putting Nathan Petrelli in the place for Sylar to kill him to impersonate him to become president. Cuz Linderman is special too. He'd be a threat to Sylar and his specialness.
This is my theory. Tim Kring is more than welcome to prove me wrong. Not that I see Sylar WANTING to be able to heal others, unless he wants to be the next Messiah or something. But Linderman still has enough power of a different kind to be able to cause him problems.
Also -- Matt's weak. Parkman is weak. Parkman would do what he was told. So Sylar could use Parkman to do all his dirty work
The Haitian -- the Haitian was loyal to, at least, Mrs Petrelli. If Angela died on November 9, then the Haitian would keep helping if "Nathan" said all the right things. And the one thing about Sylar -- he seems to be pretty good at saying all the right things.
And I think that's all I got. Except -- WHAT CAN MOLLY WALKER DO?
OK. Wait. Peter's dream in Fallout. In the jail cell. Nathan became Sylar. And then in the other dream, the one of Peter exploding. Nathan comes stalking out of that building and he sounds -- not like himself. He's just not quite himself. SYLAR OMG.
And I just want to put it down on the record that I do not believe Peter's dreams are an innate ability. It's connected to his ability -- everyone only has one, except for Sylar, who's a freak. Is THAT what Angela Petrelli can do????
I was practically having fits through this episode. I don't even know how to properly organise my thoughts and such about it.

Date: 2007-05-01 04:57 am (UTC)That's one thing I'm owrried about. Peter can do ANYTHING, yo.
you know Nathan gets off on that. THE MANWHORE.
Nathan's not the only one.
They've been rounding up Heroes so Sylar can take abilities he wants.
I can see this. "Mohinder, have we found anyone with the power to summon pizza?" "Um, yes, Mr. President, but he's harmles--" "Bring him to me!" "Yes, sir."
WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL US HOW PETER GOT SCAR OF SEXINESS?!!!

Date: 2007-05-01 04:07 pm (UTC)They're either going to kill him off or perhaps maybe with the events that are coming up, his ability will... I don't know. Maybe there'll just be too much of a potential threat for him to be able to access more than one power at once or something.

HA HA HA HA HA.

Date: 2007-05-01 06:05 am (UTC)Do you have any idea how weird it is to see my name come up in an entry not about me? I mean, it's SO COOL a character finally has my name, spelled and said the same. Maybe I'll be fortunate now, and less people referring to me as "Hannah" when I say my name is "Hana." 'Cause there is such a difference and I can't help but get mad when people constantly fuck up my name.
That being said, most of this entry is entirely confusing to me, because we're all lovely and behind here. The episode I just watched was Parkman and Ted holding the Bennet family hostage. I still can't stop myself reading these, though, 'cause I'm such a spoilerwhore.

Date: 2007-05-01 04:06 pm (UTC)Hee! That must, indeed, be awesome. And Miss Hana Gitelman is definitely an awesome character to have sharing your name. Even if they don't want to give her any real screen time. *shakes fist* Now, the whole online world of Heroes -- and I mean, beyond fannishness -- she's, like, the star.

Ooh, Family Man! This show just keeps getting better, I swear, but I loved that episode. Like I pretty well love all the episodes. Oh this SHOW. And it must be weird reading people's squee, because I look over mine, and if I didn't know what was going on, I'd be so confused beyond some of the very basic spoilers that I spell out.
BUT HOLY CRAP SYLAR.

HEE.
Yay for more Hana!
AND Hana's dead. Jesus Christ, this show has got to stop killing off the female characters.
I thought it was Candace when I first watched, but.. yeah. Other things made it blatantly apparent that I was wrong.
and this is where the capslocking comes in. OH MY GOD NATHAN IS SYLAR.
I KNOW. I went all "OMG, everything I know is a lie!" when that happened.
So . . . when did Sylar become Nathan? (Doesn't want to know if it's spoilery.)
of course he became Nathan because of the painting he painted after taking Isaac's ability
Refresh my memory, please? I can't remember his painting off the top of my head.
And, oh, Mohinder goes and stabs the Haitian instead.
That part confused me, because for some reason I thought the Haitian was with Matt. I'll have to rewatch that sequence.
