Just my day in a nutshell; some whining and such. )

So in less whiny news:

1. That vid has been removed. Wow. [livejournal.com profile] fiercy and [livejournal.com profile] linden_jay are like great shining knights and they're my heroes, and they were patient and polite but stubborn and, wow.

2. I think I'm writing Beckett/Lorne. All I can say is, blame [livejournal.com profile] linden_jay. It makes no sense, except to us, but there you go.

3.
The wee puppeh has no tail now. And a shaved bum. It's actually kind of funny. But sad. But funny.

4. I've re-watched Doctor Who 3x01 and 3x02, and, dammit, I like the episodes and I like Martha, and I won't apologise for it, and so there.

5. I want to be a dork and say "OMG THERE IS NO FIVE", but, I posted penguins for everybody, and the silly SGA fic that I'm still not sure about really, and Sean Bean is going to be here next week.

Or, well, his voice at least. *g* STAY TUNED. LotR radio production will follow that.

6. IS IT SPRING? Cuz it neither looks nor feels like spring. My hands are frozen like icicles.

7. I'm getting my allergies tested on Monday morning. Which means, after tonight? No antihistamines for the Ash, and I have to work tomorrow, and I suspect I shall be miserable. AND they want me to go in to work after the test and I'm just like "HA HA, well, I was only scheduled for 5 to close, but I'll just be there when I feel humanish again." It's been several years, but I remember feeling rather horrifically awful after I got my allergies tested the last time, and feeling rather horrifically awful for several hours, even after a shower and a massive dose of antihistamines.

8. I want Heroes back NOW, dammit. Oh, and the last several weeks' worth of online comics? I soooo called the identities of Austin and Dallas. What do I win??

Here's the puppeh:

ashinae: (Default)
Indeed, I do. I has a puppeh upon my lap.

He's a special little boy from Sunny's litter, born... five weeks ago? Six? I can't remember. He's just beautiful, all red and big eyed, but his tail is fractured. It isn't very long at all, very thick at the base, and then it just sort of vanishes. It's been like that since birth, and it's going to be removed on Thursday this week. Poor little Cavalier boy, going to have a docked tail. And what's worse, is that he's possibly the best pup of the litter. And he's so terribly sweet, and cuddly, but he's a biter. Oh boy is he ever a biter.

And he's trying to eat my fingers whilst I type. Makes things tough! Ow my thumbs!

Not too long ago I heard a yowling from downstairs. Got enough after a few seconds that I thought, geez, has one pup finally done genuine damage to another? Cuz they can get ROUGH with each other, the cute little bastards. But it stopped quickly. And then it started again. And it was loud and terrified and my heart went THUMP THUMP and I dashed downstairs. My parents were outside, indulging their deathly habit (read: smoking) and I looked into the puppy's little enclosed area, and I see one, and the other two are in the kennel cab/carrier and they seem to be sitting there and the yowling continues, and I notice one baby has his back to me, and its' the special little guy, and I poke my head in to the carrier, and he's got his paw stuck in one of the holes at the back! And my heart is going THUMPTHUMPTHUMP and my parents are outside, eek, so it's up to me to save the day!

And somehow I manage, and he still has two front feet. But he's been getting a really long cuddle from me, and I think my heart was pounding for longer than his was. *G*

And that's my story.

Take Time to Relax
What I like doing best is Nothing. It's when people call out at you just as you're going off to do it, "What are you going to do?" and you say, "Oh, Nothing," and then you go and do it. Doing Nothing means just going along, listening to all the tings you can't hear, and not bothering.

These pictures have all been taken over the last several days. They're getting so very big! They're all starting to open their eyes now.

Have a Friendly Day
When you've been walking in the wind for miles, and you suddenly go into somebody's house, and he says, "Hallo, Pooh, you're just in time for a little smackerel of something," and you are, then it's what I call a friendly day.

***

So I went downstairs this morning, and had to run back up to get my camera. Because this is just how I found Sunny fast asleep:

Puppy pics tomorrow, hopefully. And as unrelated news, I dropped off a resume today, and picked up an application for another place... Why is it I'm not actually looking forward to having a job? Woe.

They're getting so big omg.

I spent some time cuddling that little ginger boy this morning, while Sunny was outside frolicking in the snow. Oh, god, he's just a doll. ♥

Here's another batch of puppypix. Please enjoy!

Last post for today, I promise. I'm too spammy!

They were actually born in the wee hours of Saturday morning, but I didn't take any pictures until today, because I didn't want to stress Miss Sunny out. All the black ones are girls; the 'ginger' one is a boy.

WARNING

Sometime between now and Tuesday, we're expecting puppies. Our darlin' baby girl, Sunny, who's not such a baby anymore, is ready to pop.

So yes, this means another round of puppypicspam.

You've been warned.

Have a good weekend, all!

I just went to put the dogs outside.

Since my parents aren't home.

The dogs usually jump up on you and stuff in all their OMG OMG OMG LEAVES THERE ARE LEAVES LET ME PLAY IN THE LEEEEAAAVES! Oh, and maybe I should pee excitement.

And the baby jumped up and bit my bum.

One of the boys from our October litter has come back to us. The couple who bought him spoiled him rotten, bought him all sorts of neat things, but their daughter didn't like him and wouldn't play with him. Now we need to find a good home for an older puppy. Poor little guy! :(

ETA:
[livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive:

1. How old were you when you got your drivers license?
Seventeen. I waited a good year becuase I was totally messed up at sixteen and didn't want my freakiness getting in the way of driving sensibly. Dying behind the wheel isn't appealing to me.

2. Did you get your own car right away, use the family car, or bum rides from friends?
Couldn't afford my own car and my parents surely wouldn't get one for me! I used one of the family cars, a '94 crap-ass red Ford Tempo. Did I mention it's a craptacular car? It's craptacular. I can't take it out on highways. Taking it out on roads with a speed limit of 80kmph is still iffy. Oy. Anyway, as it turns out, I hate, hate, hate driving. Hate. So I'd much rather bum rides from friends (*looks fondly at [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer and [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf*) or get the parents to drive for me.

3. What was your first car and what was it like?
See #2. Did I mention that it's a really crappy car? It has squeaky breaks! When it's not cold! We've had two of these cars before and they both fell apart! Why did they get another Tempo!

4. How old were you when you got your first traffic ticket and what happened?
Haven't! Thank god...

5. What is your favorite car story, be it an accident, road trip, etc?
Hmmmmm. Well, my favourite car, the car that is dear to me, is [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer's ex-car, a red Dynasty. I miss the Dynasty! ♥ the Dynasty.

But I think my favourite car-related tale is those long drives with [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf and my parents, in our youth (mine and [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf's, not my parents, duh). They took us to a lot of flea markets and various places where you'd be in the car for at least a half-hour. Sara had this fun habit of rolling down the window, half-sticking her head out, and "wagging" her ponytail behind her head. Just like a dog's tail. I think she may have panted as well. She's a silly girl. I ♥ her so.

Hey, remember these little guys? They're not so little any more. I'm gonna be a tad bit spammy today. The following six pixtures are all from the middle of the month -- I've been rather neglectful of the picture-taking, but at this age, when they're crawling all over you and trying to eat your face and any other part of your body they can get their teeth on, it's rather difficult to take pictures.

Yeah, I've got nothing. So here are some puppies.

Am still playing at a lot of avoidance. Also becoming later and later with posting the pics after I take 'em.

The babies are getting so big. They're growly and barky and starting to cry like proper babies, and they're still unsteady on their stubby little legs but they're coming along quite admirably. They are starting to get teeth.

Also, the dark blue with white spots!knee is my mum; the denim!knee is [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer, and the navy blue bit of fabric is me. In case anybody's wondering.

Y'ever have those days? Yeah. Puppies make me smile, if nothing else. Otherwise, I'm all about the avoidance. Hope the puppies make somebody smile.
