We dream of hope. We dream of change. Fire, and love, and death. And then it happens.

The dream becomes real. And the answer to this quest, this need to solve life's mysteries, finally shows itself. Like the glowing light of a new dawn.

So much struggle for meaning, for purpose, and in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared experience of the fantastic, and the mundane.

The simple human need to find a kindred, to connect, and to know in our hearts that we are not alone.

In some parts of the world...

IT'S ALREADY PETRELLIDAY.

I may have dreamt this, which, y'know, is possible as we dream things that are all realistic about mundane, everday things, BUT:

I thought I was going through my flist, and someone posted that they regretted shelling out money right away because they saw a cover for a collector's edition S1 DVD on Amazon. I cannot find evidence of this, on my flist, or via google.

... Oh, God, it was a dream, wasn't it?

Bugger.

So, there might have been other stuff happening in the show, but:

I'm still doing my weekly big hand-written round up of the show, but I just... I dunno. I don't want to type it out. So...

Belated is better than never. Also, there's no way I'm gonna sit there like a dork and take actual notes with a pad of paper and a pen and miss things, just to leave the notes on the paper. Forget THAT.

YAY FOR MY SHOW )
ashinae: (Default)
It's not so much the week in between episodes that's been the problem. It's waiting all day, being that Monday is my day off, and not having [livejournal.com profile] linden_jay around to distract me, and having to wait till 10pm. That is the problem, my friends.

SHOW! YAY SHOW! )

Also? Thank you, so much, to [livejournal.com profile] veraxia for finding me a Nathan/Peter song with which to make a vid. OMG. It'll happen, this time. It'll happen, I'll start it, and I won't go two months after getting over a minute done, then try to go back to it and completely lose track of the whole vid, like my other one that I hope SOME day I'll complete...

I just got a phone call from my new boss, Michelle.

I spent a few weeks, after starting, talking about Heroes. She watched the season premiere last week and quite enjoyed it. Then, somehow, inexplicably, copies of the first four discs of season 1 came into her possession over the rest of the week; however, she's not in on Fridays and Saturdays, so the last three discs I left on her desk when I went in on Saturday.

She called me this morning, saying she had a complaint. Now, see, I was very tired and had almost constant migraines last week--my aunt and uncle were away, and one of their dogs, starting on Tuesday night, would get me up about every hour and a half to two hours to go outside. So, essentially, I got no sleep. My heart sinks--what in the hell did I screw up?!

Well, no. She wanted to complain at me because on Friday night, she stayed up all night watching the first four discs of season 1. And then her daughter looked at her after disc four was over, and said "Where's the rest, Mom?"

She's HOOKED.

Now to convert others! BWAH HAH!

So, I was thinking about "How to Stop an Exploding Man", and thought about what Molly said, that basically, there's someone out there worse than Sylar. That when she thinks about "him", "he" can see her. (highlight to read if you're not allergic to teh spoilers, or have already seen the episode)

Huh. I never did last week's squee. But last week was a difficult week. So... well. I actually still need to really sit and re-watch last week's, too. Does this make me a bad fangirl? Or does last night's picspam make up for that? Anyway, on with it.

Frell me dead, I love my show! )
AND THAT'S IT TILL NEXT WEEK OMG IS IT NEXT PETRELLIDAY YET?
ashinae: (Default)
Well, I threatened to do it. So here it is, the Heroes picspam in which they're out at events, and it's very "Hi, I'm Adrian Pasdar, and these are my bitches. I mean castmates. No, I mean bitches."

Images are just thumbnails; click to view bigger; they're also hosted at last-dance.com, so, please, no hotlinking!

OK, I'm being all wanky, I know, but at least I'm doing it in my own journal.

Hayden Panetierre and Milo Ventimiglia have great chemistry. They, like a handful of their co-stars, are the kind of actors who could very potentially also have great chemistry with, y'know, everybody on the show and most of the props and scenery.

And I am not bothered about the related thing. At all. I mean, dammit, people know how I get over Peter/Nathan.

But am I the only one, seriously, bothered by the age thing? By the fact that canonically, she's fifteen (going-on-sixteen, yes, but I distinctly remember Mr Bennet saying she hadn't yet seen her sixteenth birthday), and Peter is canonically twenty-six?

And, y'know, it's not the eleven year gap that bothers me. If she was twenty-five and he was thirty-six, whatevs.

She's a child. Very mature, sure, but she's a kid. He's a grown-up. Maybe, yes, I have some very personal issues wrapped up in this, but it's ... *flails, not in the good way* Are people just sticking their fingers in their ears and going la-la-la-la?
ashinae: (Default)
... that in group photos of the Heroes cast, at events and such, there's always this air of "Hi. I'm Adrian Pasdar. And these are my bitches." and the rest of the cast is like "And we're HAPPY ABOUT IT!"

I can't be the only one who's noticed.

Maybe at some point I need to do a big ol' picspam to illustrate my point.
