Heroes - PSA - and 1x17 - "Company Man"

ashinaeSo, yes, we Canadians got a special treat: Heroes a day early. Despite what my TV guide (StarWeek) says. Global aired it tonight; it is not airing it at all tomorrow. Instead it's 24 at 9:00 and The Black Donnellys at 10:00. So if you're a Canadian and you missed it tonight, you can't count on Global; you're going to have to count on NBC if you get it.
· Hee hee. Little dogs are funny when they walk. - "I'm not gonna nuke the dog!"
· Aww, Matt's just a good guy. Ted? Psycho. But not in a Sylar!psycho sort of way. He's just... screwy. Also: where did Hana go?
· Oh, hey. It's not in widescreen! Christ on a cracker, Global. You fail. >.<
· "I'm just a paper salesman." - "People are fragile. Like teacups." An interesting point, indeed, the way some view humanity. We don't like what's different. HEY! CLAUDE! WHEE! Mr B's first partner, before George. Iiiiiinteresting.
· And Claire just ratted out dad. -- GAH! Nope, nothing else that happens matters, because goddammit MATT. He didn't do this to you. But of course I know that, and he doesn't, and yelling at the TV doesn't help.
· DUDE. Hiro's father is involved in this!? It's so good to see Takei again. No wonder he was so adamant against Hiro being on a mission or being special or anything. And that's the Deveaux Building, I just noticed. - PS: Hiro + Gameboy = OTP. And the kid does the little push on the glasses. How cute!
· I love the zooms and fast cuts and composition of shots in this series. Their editors are my heroes.
· And speaking of shots -- oh, poor Claire. How many times is this girl going to die on this series? Ouch.
· OK, wait. The people Mr B works for -- "They" (Nakamura Sr and Evil Eric Roberts) say "they" own Claire. So DID Peter really save the cheerleader yet? The plot thickens.
· Dude. She spat up the bullet.
· Oh Matt. ♥ He really is a hero.
· And - oh - Mr B's telling the truth. He has to be. He's protecting Claire from Evil Eric Roberts! And Hiro's daddy? Hmm. Ponder.
· Ummmmm. Things just went badly, didn't they? Ted's going to find Claire.
· The Haitian -- George -- has been fooling Mr B and his people for a long time.
· Is Mr B going to get Matt working for him? That'd be kinda cool. We'd have these various groups of Heroes. Like, maybe Linderman's people, and Mohinder's people, and Mr B's people? I don't know. Or maybe Mr B will be a sort of double agent and then his people and Mohinder's people could be all WE'RE GONNA SAVE THE WORLD! And Mr Linderman and... well... Jessica would be all GRR we're bad! And then there's Sylar who's just a serial killin' nutcase. Heaven only knows where Hana would fit in. Is she coming back? Like, what was the point of having 5 comics about her and then not bringing her back after her two-minute appearance on the show?
· "In your daughter's life." Hmm. Who? (OMG vivisection WHA?!) "Evidently I think you're a better man than they do." Be a better man, Mr B! Was Claude hiding Claire's biological mum? And... ok, I know, Claude lives, but oh, Mr B. No good. :( Bad Phil. No biscuit.
· Oh no oh no oh CLAIRE. And, dude, woah, radiation doesn't even mark this girl. ♥ PS - Ted, you officially suck. :(
· I'm convinced Claude was hiding Meredith at this point, though there has been no evidence to back up my claims.
· OK. Thinking out loud here. Previews called Mr B "the face of evil", but I assumed that was a herring, cuz, hi, Sylar? But maybe it's just that Mr B is a representative of the real threat to those with these gifts? Meaning he's just the face of the company that we know/knew so far. Yeah? Maybe?
· Gah! GLOBAL!!! Give me my widescreen show! Everybody's faces are cut off. I can deal with no chins and no foreheads in movies, because, hi, they're made in widescreen and therefore that's how they're supposed to be. But I can't stand it when shots are set up in a certain way and I'm watching it and the side of Claire's face is missing like that.
· Okay, Matt. Hero-time. GO. *waits* And here's Evil Eric Roberts. And dude, my heart is actually pounding. And oh Mr B and Claire and Matt are just doing the hero thing and my heart is pounding. *G* Evil Eric Roberts of course knows about Claire now, and I'm not saying a word about her walking out of the house like omg. The expression on Mr B's face is just heartbreaking. Also, my heart is still pounding.
· So is Ted dead and gone? If so, how can he be the exploding man or how can Peter and/or Sylar get that ability and as I'm rambling here we see Ted, not dead and gone. He, uh, scrubbed up nicely after, y'know, going nuclear.
· Oh, poor Matt. :( They've betrayed him again. Poor woobie. Mr B can also be called a woobie now because Evil Eric Roberts wants him to bring Claire in. D:
· OKAY. So. Claire's biological daddy can fly in and save her at any time now. *waits* HELLO NATHAN. I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME. I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. FLY IN AND RESCUE YOUR DAUGHTER.
· Aw, so cute: "Grandma glasses." I'm gonna be all crying, cuz he loves her so much, and oh. "You grew inside our hearts." See? I'm all crying. She picked out his glasses and I'm crying.
· Aha! George! So is he gonna take Claire? To New York, maybe? And now this show is officially (finally) making me cry. *sniff*
· (God. I have a feeling Nathan's going to disappoint that little girl so much.)
· AND! AH! Aha, a thought. Mr Nakamura? YOU HYPOCRITE. Cuz he is so, so, so hiding his own son from Evil Eric Roberts. HA!
So, in conclusion: this episode was amazing. My heart was pounding as soon as Ted got shot, and it made me cry, and there weren't even any Petrellis.
