So much Russell news everywhere.

It would, of course, be exceptional of him to make a formal apology, but at least his no excuses for it attitude is, well, a no excuses attitude. Am still all dumbfounded and flabbergasted and just... gah. He knows what all of this can and could do to him and his career and Jesus do I ever feel utterly rotten for Danielle and little Charlie. Maybe, just maybe, he will get really lucky with all this.

Bad pup. Still no biscuit for you.

In other news, as I mentioned in my JF yesterday -- I watched Shattered Glass and I must say that Hayden is damn pretty when he cries.

Am still trying to work my head around Est backstory and reconcile that to how the pup jumped fully formed from my forehead, but it's not looking good. Still finishing up a bit with Colin and then I'll be back down to two pups again. *pets Russell and Jennifer*

I think I need a Hayden icon.

Have spent two nights trying to finish up some femmeslash for the Est.

Have come, once again, to the conclusion that I just. can't. write. smut.

Ugh. I quit.

*goes to post incomplete ... thing*

Well, [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf and I saw Phantom last night.

No shame. We both liked it. A lot.

See, the thing to bear in mind here, is that we both absolutely love the music -- particularly, of course, the original Canadian cast (Colm Wilkinson and Rebecca Caine). But neither of us were actually particularly impressed with the production itself. I've always, always had the soundtrack, and listen to it frequently, but was never interested in ever seeing the production more than once.

You can do so, so much more with film than you can on stage. It was beautiful, and lavish, and big, and the sound was just booming and fantastic. (Also, Emmy Rossum has a beautiful voice!) And of course, I went in here knowing that ultimately, ALW never gave up artistic control. He was involved in the casting and the screenplay. If that was the case, there couldn't have been anything going on in that movie that would have given him an aneurysm. So personally, I'm really quite content.

Also? Sara and I both left giggling amongst ourselves and saying, "I'd still lick him! It only looks like a really, really, really, really, really, really, really bad rash!"

I slept terribly last night. Ugh.

Also, I'm feeling a little sad . . . RPG-related whining )

Will reply to comments later, and probably post a proper Christmas round-up with a picture of the Gryffindor scarf that [livejournal.com profile] sara_elf knitted for me.

Russell Crowe -- at the Establishment. [one-stop shopping for the entire Paul/Russell storyline.]
Patrick Crowe -- at the Sable Knot.

Enjoy.
