Microsoft bullcrap.

Before anybody installs Microsoft Service Pack 2, please read this post. Basically, the service pack is incompatible with a lot of software -- including and not at all limited to McAfee and Norton antivirus software. Some Microsoft products are also incompatible, P2P software, a version of Semagic, and a bunch of games. Microsoft does offer a solution (can't speak at all for how well the solution works) that will allow the massive list of programs to start working again.
This is just a word of caution to anybody out there. It's frustrating because there just shouldn't be such issues to begin with, not really.

Thanks to
elke_tanzer, as always, for the Computer PSA.
