A few days ago, it was a certain someone's birthday. As I have been dealing with being ill, and school work, I didn't have quite as much time as I would have liked to get this vid finished for her birthday. I'm glad it's only two days late.

Ahhh, I love you madly! And I love this madly! I think of this as a very hopeful song -- the narrator is so unbowed and you know, given these characters, that the promises will be kept. Makes me remember all the things I feel good about when I think about Boromir...not the angst but the fact that absolutely nothing that happened to him, not even his death, was in vain.

I watched again a few times today and the lyrics really work so well with each clip, with each character...great choice :)
I also liked how faramir is presented in the songvid, an important presence that however doesn't disrupt the Araboro harmony...and it still gets me all emotional, though it's not sad at all, in a weird, unexpected way.
I always look forward to your vids :)

well holy shit, im so impressed. and now a die hard fan of the pairing. more importantly, as a former film major and geek, im wondering how you achieve this editing? you've either studied a long time or have an inborn talent for knowing precisely where to make the cut to maximize the emotion and minimize the disbelief. it's sutured, a light touch, and im really just floored by that. really. beautiful work. have you ever considered using images and music of public domain and doing a music video to submit to an art contest/ as aprt of your resume? ever considered going into editing yourself? music videos have ground opennings out there, and you've got talent. *hugs* really damn good work, ashinae. roo

Oh, wow. I'm just floored by this. This is one of the nicest things anybody has ever said in response to one of my vids :) I'm not really sure what to say, except for thank you! I'm only 21, and have never, ever studied film except for all the watching I do (as I work in a video store and get to have several free movies a week). I'm in digital media design right now, in college, and will be doing a few months of digital video and audio editing. I've actually been making music vids like these ones in my head for YEARS, just never really had the means to do so. Now I do, and I'm quite thrilled *G*

*slaps self* you're ash from master and commander slash. i've friended you, since you've already friended me. good to know i have so many friends ~_^. anyway, yes, your vids are extremely impressive and i can tell you were painstaking with them, b/c they look so easy. i worked all through high school at a video store and would compose music videos with analog (actual tape back in the caveman days of the early 90s) as well. i went to film school and also studied screenwriting, mythology and japanese. i was going to make anime once upon a time, before real life sucked me into bill paying, but why no, im not bitter... ~_^ not yet anyway, gotta finish my masters and this damn screenply and novel, and then im gonna go for it. round about the time you'd be graduating. let's keep in touch. you have a gift for editing and i'd love to see you do something professional with it someday, if so inclined. anyway, when M&C comes out, will you make us a vid for that? *puppy eyes* think of all the HOURS of slashy material you'll sift through! and i LOVED LOVED LOVED!!!! the im too sexy lucius video. i started guffing at work you wicked thing you! love, roo
