Trelawney! Wheee!!!

Um. Comments and stuff. Yeah. I'm getting to that, I am! Really!

I have updated Drawn To the Rhythm, though.

*crosses fingers* The powers that be willing, I'll have my Two Towers EE tonight. Should make up for the fact that head office is having us ship out virtually all our rental stock to new stores out east. Entire titles. DVDs and VHS that cannot be replaced anymore. Big, huge titles that rent several times a month, if not several times a week.

Sigh. They're apparently trying to run our store into the ground. Jerks. I need this job until next June. After that, if they want to close us down, grr on them because that's my mommy's job, but fine, just fine. They can't close us down before then, though. They just can't. Though I'm sure that whatever karma I'm paying back in spades right now, will probably think it's totally justified.

But why would my bad karma have to affect the lives of a dozen other people?

Oh, and GIP. James Purefoy. Yum.

Kinda OT, I hope you don't mind me asking.
I'm going to buy a DVD with a USB port - My computer has a combo dvd / dvdr and I can play dvd on it but I can't figure out how to make captures. Will I need anything else to make the captures?

Argh, sorry for taking so long to reply.

Okay -- if you mean screen captures, and you've just got a DVD player for your computer, you can quite easily make captures just playing them from there. JASC's Paint Shop Pro has a capture option in version 7 (maybe sooner, I really don't know) and probably 8. If that's not an option, you can download a trial version of InterVideo's WinDVD (I have the trial version of v4.0). The trial naturally does expire, but I've been using it for over a year *G* Just turn the clock back.

If you're talking about actual *video* capture, I can honestly tell you, I've no idea! I know that sounds silly. I use a Dazzle* Digital Video Creator, which hooks up through a USB port to let me capture video from my (external) DVD player. It's definitely not the greatest, but it serves its purpose.

Thanks for the info. I'll be looking at Dazzles this week then. I just recently started watching vids - my computer / dial up couldn't handle them before, and it's something I'd like to try.
