First snowfall in Newmarket for 2003: Saturday, November 8.

Though admittedly, it was a very pathetic attempt. Still snow, however.

Edited to add quiz, gacked from [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector:

Still giggling about the Infamous Icon.

But seriously, seeing your vids introduced me to Sarah Mclachlan - I'm now possessed of three albums - is Afterglow a new one? Being in England I can only source them in retrospect, and I've now found a store that will get me CD's by Loreena McKennitt and Tea Party [I really liked Walking Wounded]. Care to make any recommendations? all they can show me are album titles not contents. Very much hope you get your 'nasty little problem called D' sorted out soon and I'm looking forward to more vids post TT EE. Please??

Let's see...

First, the problem seems to have been sorted out. at least until she can find somewhere new to host her vids. So that makes me happy.

And CDs... ah, CDs, an expensive habit to support.
Sarah McLachlan -- Afterglow is indeed, her new album. I think the Essential Sarah is: Touch, Solace, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, Surfacing, Afterglow.
Tea Party -- get "Tangents", which is a Best Of collection. Includes Walking Wounded, and some other amazing songs. They have a really interesting sound.
Loreena McKennitt -- get The Visit, The Mask and the Mirror, and Book of Secrets.

I also highly, highly recommend October Project, as do a ton of other people around this area of LJ (largely due to my influence, it would seem, as I pressed them on [livejournal.com profile] cruisedirector who in turn introduced them to all HER friends. I also have an Araboro vid set to their song, Return To Me. Their albums are October Project and Falling Further In. Some of my absolute favourite music EVER. I plan on doing more vids to their music at some point.

Vids are going to be very hard for me to work on this semester. School is eating up my life; I have the same instructor for three classes, and he gives unreasonable amounts of homework compared to the other instructors in my program. Five more weeks. Only five more weeks, and gods willing, I never have to see him again.

Thanks very much. Have noted, and will try to track them down, although haven't had any luck so far with October Project. Glad to hear things are getting better.
And just keep repeating - "homework makes for good grades homework makes for good grades" - you'll still feel lousy, but very virtuous! Is that possible? ;)

This would be all well and good if one of my instructors hasn't already decided that my work is a D-calibre level and I shan't be improving :(
