[ Firefly Sims ] The Reynolds Family intro

I spent much less time on the Reynolds family. This is because I spent nearly two and a half hours creating the Tams and the Tam Estate. Yikes.

Meet Katie Reynolds, and her son, Malcom. But we call him Mal. (Notice the brown shirt)

At first they don't seem to recognise each other.

But never fear -- all is well, as they stand on the blue screen of Loading Sim Family, looking all tough.

Standing outside their new home (which, incidentally, contains no furniture -- Katie's desires were for a bathtub and a bed. Only one, though. Apparently she doesn't care where Mal sleeps!)... uh, anyway. Outside the Reynolds Residence, Mal lets his mum in on a wee secret. He hits with all the force of wet spaghetti.

So Katie decides the best thing to do is teach her son how to throw a punch.

"C'mon, Mal. Right here."

"Not bad, not bad," says Katie. And she shows Mal how it's done...

And not only can Mal not throw a punch, he can't take one, either! Mal is a big weenie.

But that's okay! Katie loves her son nonetheless. And she knows he'll grow up all big and tough and be able to survive things like two fights with that crazy operative in Serenity and still limp away, battered and bruised to take more beatings another day.
I fear this is the beginning of a very bad addiction.
Oh dear.
