Why haven't I heard of Alison Krauss?
She's wonderful. I even ordered the Cold Mt. soundtrack from Amazon while she was singing the first song -- so beautiful!

and did you see Charlize was almost pushing him away? I know she's got Stuart Townsend and all (the man who would NOT be king) but a chance to lock lips with Adrien Brody should not be tossed aside so lightly!

But you didn't include my favourite line of the evening -- when PJ thanked the cast for wrapping their tongues around Tolkien's text -- the mention of the LOTR cast and wrapping tongues in the same line just made my heart beat a little faster.

Totally agree. Was half hoping Mystic River would win because I have such ROTK disappointment/spite; but that's okay. I think if it as winning for the whole trilogy, so it's good.

Yeah -- I'm kind of seeing this as a very belated award for FotR or an award for the whole trilogy. But I am very biased and was rooting desperately for Weir and his big-little movie since he has been overlooked time and time again and Clint already has best picture/best director under his belt *g*
