People are confused about Rory and Amy's timeline? Seriously??
They get married.
They go on their honeymoon and there's the thing with the, um, flying sharks. And Michael Gambon! And... unfortunate flying sharks.
The Doctor drops them off. They get a place. He waves at them outrageously from time and space.
He invites them to Utah.
There's Utah. And 1969. AndBadger Canton Everett Delaware III.
And pirates and Sexy andsigh the Flesh and Demon's Run and Hitler and the little boy and the Girl Who Waited and the Minotaur and then the Doctor sends them home and gets them a car and then they go about their lives and Amy seems to become an entrepreneur/model while the Doctor's on his farewell tour and then, oopsie, time goes all wonky because their kid won't kill the Doctor.
There's no back and forth for Amy and Rory. Time is not wibbly-wobbly for the companions until and unless they are with the Doctor, and even when they're not there (Closing Time), we are still technically seeing it from their POV. They are our (the audience's) lay-people. When they are confused, we are confused. Otherwise, the entirety has happened in a straight line for Amy and Rory, from the first appearance of the Raggedy Doctor.
DUH PEOPLE. DUH.
