With Heroes I'm pretty free with pairings -- generally, I'm not a hardcore OTP'er -- but Hiro/Ando is just right. I thought Hiro was darn cute with Charlie, but I have a tendency to stick my fingers in my ears and go LA LA LA PASSING FANCY. However, if either of the boys ends up with a girl, I'll be fine provided this remains that friendship that, yes, transcends everything else. Because it's possible; I've got one of those.
Apparently, and I can't back this up with actual sources and only with what I've read people saying it, was that Sylar was originally actually supposed to be gay, but Kring changed his mind (to be honest, I'm sort of glad, because we don't need gay villains on hit shows, we really don't). So I can kind of see some of that as canon subtext with how Sylar responds to Mohinder. I can gleefully, evilly, go there with those two, but I couldn't see sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows in the end. Admittedly, I enjoy watching Sylar, but I don't know how much of that is that it's Zachary Quinto I'm enjoying, and that Quinto and Sendhil Ramamurthy have electric chemistry.
That's where Hiro/Ando come in. ;)
