Oh, bugs. Hate them. Hate hate hate. Though I can't really blame them too much, on some level, for coming into our homes. We certainly go into theirs...
The walk you had sounds loverly. What's a Beamish chicken, though? Do they smile a lot? ;)
It's funny, the way people talk about fresh air and exercise making them feel better. It's always made me so miserable! Though I guess a great deal of that has to do with me being allergic to the outdoors (severe tree and grass allergies), and the way that mosquitoes looove me, and the way the sun haaates me (I'm extremely fair-skinned -- born with dark blonde/light brown hair, but any "natural" shade of red/orange looks perfectly natural on me, if that helps to paint a picture). Of course, right now the exercise I'm getting is a chore, not something that I'm doing for me. Now, if the dog would, you know, actually walk rather than drag her feet and be all "but I don't waaaaanna, I just want to smell this treeeeeee, etc" it might be different. :)
