There's a long-running show here in Canada called Royal Canadian Air Farce -- which basically is a small cast of comedians who make fun of current issues and politics, but still bring attention to them.
One sketch I remember seeing, had two of the cast dressed up as Canada Post workers, discussing some issue or other. As they're talking, they're supposed to be inspecting parcels... except what they're doing is smashing them with hammers, throwing them, ripping them apart and stealing things, etc.
When I get packages sometimes, man do I ever think that's what they do! For an example, I'm going to link to some pictures of the package I received from sara_elf for my birthday. The wee box and the card were both together in a bubble-wrap mailer envelope.
Here are two pictures of the box (with my address cleverly blurred out *G*). And then this is the card. (Which is the best birthday card ever. Yes, that's someone choking a woman on a bed; the inside of the card says "Stop being younger than me, you bitch!" I love Sara. She's the best *G*)
Also: sorry for babbling away like that. But I also thought I'd point out my new *giggle* icon and note that Raha and I decided it's Aurelia, after mercilessly pouncing Paul.
*loves Aurelia* She so looks like laughing her head off after having pounced mercilessly, now all you are missing is a Gerald, who has adopted Paul from the word go. *smiles and things of EST* The boys and their pets are so wonderful... Thanks for showing me the pics. Well, I guess sara_elf made the mistake of writing "fragile" on it. This is usually the codeword for PA to pounce on parcels and bash them mercilessly. *sniggers at the RCAFarce excerpt* German PA is usually very good in-country, where they enjoy returning parcels because they couldn't find the recipients. Funny,how cards sent separately arrive... At the moment I am miffed at a combined operation of GPA and AusPA, because a tube with maps which I sent to a friend for Easter has not yet surfaced (I sent it Airmail) Mind, I enjoyed you babbling away. :D
