*From a conversation with rahalia_cat yesterday, about an original fantasy world that I have been creating for many, many moons. I said, "Their general response to the dragons in the deep forest is STAY THE FUCK AWAY omgdragons D:"

**I sometimes have a bit of trouble quite picking out what the Firefly characters have said (ie, Mal saying "per-maybe-haps" to Book in Our Mrs Reynolds baffled me), or that I just miss some subtle nuances. I therefore spent the time watching all the episodes with the English subtitles on, and then went to do the same thing with Serenity.

***Of course not! Well, I don't, at least. I can't vouch for the others. ;)

Btw, I also tend to watch things with the subtitles on. It saves me having to rewind and go "WTF did they just say?!" I watched half of Fantastic 4 like that.

Hee! I guess you sort of like that response, eh? Rather than the OMGDRAGONS! MUST GO SLAY! reaction that most fantasy folk seem to have? *G*

I've been working on that universe... forever. Gosh. I think at this point, what I really need to do is stop trying to work around the characters and the story, but moreso the actual world... *ponder*
