Poor Claire. She was really terribly torn about the whole thing. She didn't want to go out, and she felt she had to, and the idea of depending on someone to take care of her was just utterly and completely terrifying. Because every time she turns around, the person she thought she could depend on disappears. But Nathan convinced her to give it just one more try. Just one.
It was hard to figure out just how a fic like this should go, because it's really not your traditional happy ending story, not really. But I'm really glad that you liked where we ended, and that you kept reading all the way through. Again, thank you!
