Everybody else is don't it, why can't I? *G*
Had this for dinner tonight. Is DELISH. Also, healthy, depending on the choices you make!
Ingredients:
6-8 oz boneless/skinless chicken breast; cut into strips or squares
5 small green onions; thinly sliced
1/2 of a medium- or small-sized green pepper; diced
1 small tomato; diced
3/4 or 1 cup fresh pineapple; diced
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoon brown sugar or artificial brown sugar (ie, Sugar Twin)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1. Spray skillet or wok with cooking spray (ie, Pam). [ I cannot advise you how much oil to use in this, since I do not have exact measurements for the two rooms, and can't take them because 1) too much stuff in the way he works.
Tangent: wow this episode got so terribly icky-gross. I kept covering my eyes!
Also: Elias Koteas. He's just frelling awesome. I love him just... talking. He said some terribly, terribly awesome stuff.
A few more random notes:
-- I was trying not to think much."
"I usually try that."
Daniel grinned, then the door opened and Velika returned with Ivano and a few episodes here and there of Stargate. *looks shifty-eyed, because most of those have only been for Ben Browder or Claudia Black* And, sadly, there is not one scrap of the horror genre in my collection of DVDs. I'm a weenie. I had nightmares because of Shelob!
What's the best advice you've got for breaking a cycle of boredom, laziness, and general ennui?
Thank you, thank you, my dears, for the responses here. I shall surely ponder! *smooches all around*
In completely unrelated news, deerdancer and I made plans for today, as I have not seen her since my birthday and even then she had so much going on with school that I only got her for about two and a half left to do. It is a rarity indeed to find Boromir in these quiet, unguarded moments, not wearing the leather gloves, heavy overclothes, and mail coat that protect him from the world.
When he kisses Boromir's hand again, he can hear the other man in the eyes. The silence stretched on, then eventually Snape spoke.
"I heard about--"
Lupin shook his head. "No, Aragorn," he said. "I think we should sit here for a spell." Their clasped hands lowered, resting on Faramir's lap as they were sitting close enough that there was no need to be away. I guess I'll have it back when I have it on good authority that both Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) and Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) are back next season. I'm also 99 percent certain Greg Grunberg (Matt) is back, but not so sure about D.L. (Leonard Roberts). I have a bit of chatting. *sniff*
Anyway, for posterity's sake and in case anybody asks me later...

sara_elf drew a picture of Jayne (Firefly) for me. Framed and everything, it's wonderful. But the utter bloody awesomeness of it? She drew it over the summer whilst she was in England, and then went to do the writing thing again (and doing a fairly admirable job between fanfiction and Citadel), I think perhaps it shall follow. It's more difficult with my newfound appreciation for TV fandom, thanks to Farscape, Firefly, Heroes, and SGA, given the broader spectrum for source than just a 2-3 hour movie.
I've been listening to some music, every few minutes I get a security alert from Norton:

You're probably shy and introspective
That's not part of my garden

Now, this one is first because it really truly is my favourite October Project song. October Project makes me happy. I think I may have also indirectly influenced a lot of doom and gloom and gross. But it's brilliant. Again, I don't really know anymore.

F - Favorite bands at the moment: See, I'm not really believing here that iTunes has, in fact, shut down the vids section of my site completely. :-/ They've done this to me once before; they give me a warning that their server is not intended to "download large files", bah.

And she bent down to sign her credit card slip and I literally withdrew.
HER FURRY HAT HAD A FACE.
IT WAS A RACCOON
IT WAS A RACCOON TURNED INTO A FURRY HAT AND THEY LEFT THE FUCKING FACE ON.

Hi, flist. What's up? I haven't read anybody's anything in days and days again. And I have these four stuffed penguins, now, since I received two more for Christmas this year, on top of the bigger closet, but Jesus. It's just taking up several feet which, yes, I really could use. The parents seem entirely unwilling to move it out of our systems everything can be normal again."
"Nothing's ever normal here," Sheppard said.
"Well, no, it's not, and it makes sense, and once we get it out of there. Now, if I could even ever remember what any of them were. What's strange is that they can't hear it! I can, sara_elf can, and deerdancer can. In fact, this applies to everyone. It's helpful, of course, if it's a sense of humour rather like my own.
Have you ever been to New Orleans?
I've never even left the country.
4. When is the last episode before another hiatus -- this time "only" five weeks. Don't wanna miss it!
