Followed a rec from a friend to this, and I like it a lot. Oh, early Peter. He was so wide-eyed and enthusiastic -- and he still is, of course, but it's tempered more now.
And I hear a double meaning to that refrain of "Day One," whether or not you meant there to be; it's bright and enthusiastic and earnest and idealistic, and yet I also hear it as foreshadowing the day of the explosion. When money and power won't mean a thing, in the face of that disaster.
