Double GIPpage

Whee!

Classic Pooh:

Because as I told [livejournal.com profile] milochka yesterday, I'm a shameless Pooh fangirl, and I really, really need a Pooh icon.

Odysseus:

Because holyfuckingGUH. He's the reason I'm excited about Troy, dontchaknow, more than anything (or anyone!) else. My Beanie. With the curls and the beard and the GUH everything.

There'a Beanie Troy pic somewhere that you can see right up his skirt. :p

*smushes Pooh icon*

*sexes up Odysseus*

And he has a great part in the movie, too. His is one of best drawn characters, just perfectly written for him. *shimmies*

Oh, Odysseus is a fantastic character. I easily admit that hearing that this isn't supposed to be much like Homer's text at all, I wouldn't have been interested in this movie at all were it not for the presences of Brian Cox and Peter O'Toole and the fabulousness that is Bean as one of my favourite figures from the myth/legend.

Yes, yes! I'm flailing over Cox being in the movie. I've read the script and was very happy to see that the character of Odysseus is pretty much idential to the one in the poem. Really well done. And he has some of the best lines in the movie. I whimper with lust just thinking of how beautifully Sean will nail that portrayal.
