I´m anticipating watching this vid knowing some of your others. I was very happy to see that you used "10th Man Down" from Nightwish in one of them. It´s one of my favorites from Nightwish and it fit the mood of the vid perfectly!!! Thanks for posting!

Well, thank you very much! Nightwish is one of my favourite bands right now, their music is wonderful. And knowing that Tolkien is indeed one of their many inspirations, I feel very justified using their music for LotR vids!

Thank you! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the vid. There were a lot of emotions in there that I needed to get out, I was feeling rather sad and angsty myself as I was editing *g*

"Dead Boy's Poem" is hands-down one of my favourite songs ever. I'm sure the song was written before FotR was released in theatres... but what with the boy's accent during the spoken parts of the song -- so much like Boromir's -- I would swear that they actually wrote the song about Boromir *G*

I believe "Wishmaster" got out in 2000 which would be before the release of FotR, but during the shooting of the movies. I´ve seen several songs that are definitely based on Tolkien. In Wishmaster, there are the lines "O Elbereth, Lorien" and in their first album "Angels fall first" there´s that song "Elvenpath" which mentions Bilbo. *smile* A lot of my favorite songs ever are from Nightwish. My top five are: Dead Boy´s Poem, Moondance (great instrumental), Sleeping Sun, Two for Tragedy and Lappi, but basically I love them all.
By the way...your vid reminded me that Boromir just *had* to die on my birthday! Ok...the truth is that I wasn´t even born when Tolkien wrote this, but it came as a little shock to me that one of my favorite LotR-characters (Sorry, but Faramir will always come first! *grin*)died on may birthday. *sniff*
