Okay, this is just utterly messed up.

Went to www.sho.com -- ShowTime's website, to look up some stuff on The L Word.

And I got this most bizarre message.

Sorry
We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States.

What in the fecking feck is THAT all about?

Anybody else out there not in the US right now want to check that out and see if they get the same message?

That is some messed up shit right there, man.

Is ShowTime storing official plans for US world domination?

I believe the Canadian/non-US version of Showtime is Showcase. You might be able to find the information you're looking for there. People have run into that from looking for information on Queer as Folk.

Oh -- yeah, it is ShowCase. But I couldn't find any info about The L-Word there. We're usually a bit staggered on the US shows. *shrug*

You know, I hadn't seen anything like it before. Yeah, is stupid. Just--really bloody stupid.

Maybe I'm just usually late to the game, but aren't we up in the great white north generally behind all the US cable stations? ABC, NBC et al, not a problem, but with the "speciality" channels, I'm sure we're maybe nine times out of ten, at least a few weeks, if not a few months, behind them.

Silly, silly people...

:-/ What a silly thing, to make a website that can only be viewed within one country. Honestly.

It's because you have people who speak French up in your Canajun provinces. And the French are Evil. They don't even think George W. Bush is the Greatest! *nods*

You know, I really can't think of anything to say to that... *G*

I'll try to optimistic and hope it has to do with bandwidth and customer-base issues: you know, advertising specifically to those who would actually be able to pay their fees to watch their programming? :P

Or maybe they're just lame.

Maybe but -- it's still just ridiculous. *G*
