It's that time of week again...
The Friday Five
1.How are you planning to spend the summer [winter]?
School, baby. Suffering through drought and heatwave in the middle of Toronto. Thank god I only have a 5 minute walk from and to the subway station!
2. What was your first summer job?
Never had a summer job, actually. I started working at my mom's store (though it wasn't her store at the time... well, kind of. She actually ran the place while the boss went around making weird decisions...) back in August of 1997 and have never really left, despite repeated threats to do so *G*
3. If you could go anywhere this summer [winter], where would you go?
Wow, that's a hard choice. I want to go out to Calgary and visit my brother, his girlfriend and my nephew. I wouldn't mind seeing England, or New Zealand. Would love to go down south and bother
cruisedirector. *G*
4. What was your worst vacation ever?
Christmas vacation, 1998. One of my lifelong best friends died after a two-year battle with cancer.
5. What was your best vacation ever?
Not really a vacation as such, seeing as it was only three days *g* But the weekend of July 13th, 2001, was a blast. Jo and I spent the weekend at my cousin's apartment at Dundas Square in Toronto. Gorgeous, albeit unfinished, apartment. Beautiful part of the city. Saw Blue Rodeo in concert on the Friday night, got dragged around the city on Saturday (after getting a whole five hours of sleep. Ryan(cousin): *flops down on the bed between Jo and me* "Gee, you guys are making me sleepy!" Jo & Me: *whacking Ryan with pillows*). Came back home, tired and exhausted and really happy, on Sunday afternoon. In all honsty, I can't really remember everything that happened, because Ryan would NOT let us get any sleep that weekend, but I know we had a great time.
