Just "sneaking" onto livejournal after sending a quick update to Doggie's mum wherever they are in Vancouver. Need to note, for the sake of posterity, that I went out with the dog for a short ten-minute or so play just after nine pm tonight and I came back in with eight new mosquito bites.

At least.

SO SO ITCHY OMG MAKE IT STOP STOOPID 'SKEETERS!

edit, ten minutes later (or not even): omg I am the itchiest girl ever *sobs* This is worse than when I had the chicken pox! (which I got when I was 14 and was sick for two weeks and lived in an oatmeal bath) *sobs a little more* so. fucking. itchy. I think it's more than 8 new ones. It feels like they're everywhere. :(

edit II, a few seconds after edit I: if I die of West Nile from all the 'skeeter bites, who wants my DVD collection? ;)

You have no idea how GLAD I am to find out I'm not the only one who didn't get chicken pox until she was 14. But I was only sick for about five days or so, I think...still, oatmeal baths I recall and sleepless nights because of the itching...it sucked, definitely.

And mossie bites are horrible, too. I usually just dig my nail in and there's this sort of exsquisite pain and eventually the bite numbs up and stops itching. Of course then I have these little nail indentations to go with the red bumps. Heh.

Wish I could have your DVD collection. :P But I'd miss your fics you wouldn't get to write.

Itching from mosquito bites is a horror. There are lotions which help, try and get some.

Bloody chicken pox! I actually missed my last two full weeks of eigth grade/elementary school because of it. Nearly missed my eigth grade graduation. Though I also didn't eat for two weeks, so I lost all my baby fat then... (have sinced gained it back in spades, of course! *G*)

Yeah, normally I just use my massively long fingernails to make an X through the bite, but the ones on my ankles... and then there's the heat rash... and the sunburn...

I really ought to reorganise and recount my DVD collection. I must be nearing 300 titles.

I did manage to find a lotion. It's doing wonders for everything but the bites on my ankles, so yay!
