musing

I'm not quite sure how far back this really goes. Possibly back to last January, and my "Under Ice" vid. I keep saying "Dear god, this vid is going to kill me."

Obviously, I'm still alive.

But here I am, ages and ages later (well, okay, almost a year and a half). I'm still saying it!

I've spent about 6 or so hours working on 53 seconds of footage -- actually, 40, because the white-text-on-black-background title sequence, really was not difficult. If it was, I think I'd have to retire from vidding.

"Dear god, this vid is going to kill me," says I, after I finish watching those 53 seconds, and look at the fact that I have just less than 4 minutes left to vid.

'Tis my "Year Four" (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) vid, called "Destinies Glow" (tentatively) and set to a song called "Vertigo" (no, not that "Vertigo"), and that's all I'm sayin'.

Except that the other night, when [livejournal.com profile] deerdancer was over, and I was fussing and she was coaching me through starting the vid, I realised something. I'm not sure that it's something awful or not, but now all four vids in this series have female vocalists (ooh, a clue, a clue!) and I think at this point, I'm not going to be able to break that. It'd probably be jarring. There goes, like, half the music I could possibly use for Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and Whatever Book Seven's Gonna Be Called.

In other news...

There is no other news that ain't whining. And for Mummy's Day, I promised Mummy I wouldn't whine till tomorrow. (Maybe.)
