There's a user on LJ who has the same name as one of the characters in my original "epic fantasty" fiction. Saw the name pop up on metaquotes -- and what's more, the user is female, and my character is male.

A very weird moment. Almost as weird as discovering that there's an "Ashinae" in the Star Wars fandom who isn't me!

Okay, I've been biting my tongue since the nominations got out (well, except for when sara_elf or deerdancer and I have been making fun of it, but, um, *cough*), but how did a movie whose cast spends much of their time in various states of non- or only partial-dress, get nominated for best costume design? I mean, really. All I remember were the thighs and nipples and Brian Cox's wheezy laugh, not costumes. *grin*
